:: xorg-server and xf86-video-vesa are in conflict. :: xorg-server and xf86-video-intel are in conflict. When I undock with the VM running, it hands off to the wifi adapter without issue. Ubuntu VM running NAT networking on VirtualBox 5.2.22. I am on a Dell Precision 5530 laptop and a Dell TB16 dock. :: xorg-server and xf86-video-fbdev are in conflict. I believe I may also be experiencing this issue. Today is the first time that restarting the machine doesn't help.

After that sequence of events, I have often experienced "Configure crtc 3 failed", and couldn't figure out how to address it short of restarting the machine. I have seen this problem before in the following scenario: use the computer docked successfully, undock, reconfigure to use only the built-in laptop monitor, dock again. I have also tried using -crtc 4 through 8, and the problem was the same with the error message corresponding to the number I provided.

I updated my MacBook pro to Big Sur today, the tb3 unblocker still works. Īnyone experiencing the same with a solution? I quickly Googled and found someone has the same issue with TB16 and mbp16. I gave a try with my old MacBook at the end, and it just works. I've tried to reset smc/nvram, reinstall displaylink driver, play with different resolution/refresh rate, trying different tb3 port, and had no luck. Both monitors work after connecting to MacBook Pro 16, but the 1440p monitor flickers every 5 seconds.
